10-Inch Rules For Contact Measurement
10-inch / 250 mm aluminum rules help you reach the surfaces you need to compare. Read 0-360 degrees on the LCD; stated +/-0.3-degree accuracy is separate from 0.05-degree display resolution.

LX-DAF10
LX-DAF10 is a 10-inch / 250 mm aluminum digital angle finder for workshop setup and measuring angles between surfaces. Its pivoting rules carry imperial and metric markings, and the LCD displays angles across a 0-360-degree range.
10-inch / 250 mm aluminum rules help you reach the surfaces you need to compare. Read 0-360 degrees on the LCD; stated +/-0.3-degree accuracy is separate from 0.05-degree display resolution.

HOLD freezes the displayed angle. A three-second HOLD/FLIP press flips the display for upside-down reading; the locking knob holds the rule position.

One 10-inch / 250 mm digital angle finder, zippered pouch and two supplied 3V CR2032 cells. Install one cell for operation.

Choose rule length for access and contact with your workpiece. Display resolution and measurement accuracy are different specifications.
| Job or requirement | Works | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Miter saw setup | Yes, with rule contact | Seat the rules against the relevant surfaces; follow the saw instructions. |
| Table saw angle checks | Yes, where the rules fit | Check contact and zero before measuring; no magnetic-base claim is made. |
| Shelf alignment | Yes | Choose a rule length that reaches the surfaces being compared. |
| Inside and supplementary angles | Yes | REV displays 180 degrees minus the measured inside angle after zeroing. |
| Measuring a long distance | No substitute for a long tape | Rules are 10 inches / 250 mm; choose a tape for longer spans. |
| Applications requiring tighter than +/-0.3 degree | Not verified | A 0.05-degree display step does not establish a tighter tolerance. |
Their 10-inch / 250 mm length provides a longer contact reach than the 7-inch / 180 mm LX-DAF7 rules. Check space for both arms and the pivot before choosing the longer version.
Shelf alignment is one listed use. The 250 mm rules must contact the surfaces being compared; the longer arms do not establish a universal fit or substitute for checking contact.
Use it for miter saw checks. Seat the aluminum arms at the relevant surfaces and use the flat starting reference before reading the LCD.
Fit depends on the opening and the angle between the rules. The 250 mm arm length is a reason to check clearance; choose LX-DAF5 or LX-DAF7 if their shorter reach better suits that space.
It offers 250 mm rules versus LX-DAF5's 130 mm rules. That increases available rule length, but successful contact still depends on the workpiece geometry.
Its function is an angle finder with +/-0.3-degree accuracy. No separate precision-level rating or magnetic mounting is verified for the long model.
No. The rules carry linear imperial and metric markings, while the LCD displays the angle between the arms. A digital linear-length function is not verified.
LX-DAF10, LX-DAF7 and LX-DAF5 each have +/-0.3-degree accuracy; longer rule length does not change that claim.
Use the physical knob to secure the 250 mm arms and HOLD if you need the displayed value frozen. Check the two controls separately before removing the tool from the surfaces.
It has a 0-360-degree range, covering more than the common 90-degree setup. Use the flat starting reference for the angle you intend to measure.
The physical rules carry inch and metric markings. The angle display stays in degrees; the printed length scales do not establish radians or other LCD angle-unit modes.
No. It is the stated display resolution. The ZERO procedure establishes the reference, and an individual accredited calibration certificate is not included among the confirmed package contents.
The difference in rule size is 10 inches / 250 mm versus 7 inches / 180 mm. Both models list a 0-360-degree range, HOLD/FLIP and the same +/-0.3-degree accuracy.
LX-DAF10 supplies a digital measured angle and REV supplement. LX-230 instead has mechanical miter-cut and single-cut scales for transferring joint settings; use the reading convention the job needs.
The LX-DAF10 package includes the tool, zippered pouch and two 3V CR2032 cells. Install one CR2032 for operation.
Use one 3V CR2032 in its tray regardless of rule length. Two supplied cells describe package quantity, not a two-battery operating requirement.
No expanded temperature or humidity limits are established by the pouch. Operate at 0-50 C and less than 85% relative humidity. Use the case for transport protection.
12 months standard; 24 months when you register online within 90 days of purchase. Coverage addresses defects in material and workmanship, with wear and misuse excluded; commercial use is 12 months and industrial use is not covered.
For initial calibration, align both rules on a flat surface and press ZERO. To use the 180-degree position as a starting point, extend both rules fully, lay them flat and press ZERO.
Rotate the locking knob counterclockwise to release the arms; set the angle, then tighten the knob clockwise to hold it.
After measuring the inside angle, REV shows its supplementary value: 180 degrees minus the measured inside angle.
Check that the CR2032 cell is fitted with its negative face upward; replace the cell if needed. If the problem persists, contact Lexivon.
Press ZERO and recalibrate using the flat starting position. If the display error continues, contact Lexivon instead of trusting the reading.
Wipe it with a soft dry cloth, avoid abrasive cleaners and store it in the supplied pouch. Remove the battery if it will be unused longer than three months; keep coin cells away from children.
