Great buy, bought it true Amazon because of cheaper (free) shipping, perfect tool for doing a quick job, hope to find the newer LX-771 someday on amazon.de because I live in the Netherlands. again quality is same or even better than Lokal brand like dremel. Kind regards from the Netherlands.

I like how it started easily but keeping it on is a bit tricky, but once I got used to the flame lock for continuous flame, it was fine. Not enough time with it yet to say more but seems great so far. May change my mind later but will update again after a half dozen to a dozen uses. (I make jewelry so I don't really use any attachments, only the torch as it comes out of the box).

Looks cool. Gets hot like fire does sometimes. The safety lock is not that safe*' and makes it hard to light. Usually takes 2-3 attempts to get it going.Lots of useless attachments to take up space in the blown plastic case you will not use to store the torch in. Would have been nice to have a place in the case for a small can of butane.You'll be surprised by all the things you'll use it for.. * I injured my hand with the pliers I used to tear the lock off.

Super happy. Made soldering wires quicker and easier. Only negative is the safety switch for the ingition, but overall worth it.

The soldering torch works as expected. The burner is very well made and comes in a practical box where it can be neatly stowed away. I use it for soldering and tinkering. You can also use the part in the kitchen.

It is the reason I bought the Smith Little Torch. Not quite enough heat for more than one layer of enameling on Copper

This was my first butane torch. I mainly used for electronic applications. First, let me say that I am very impressed at how very well built this tool is even to the smallest detail. To top this, it is even esthetically very well designed. A work of art in industrial design including the case. The accessories are also well built and can be used for multiple purposes not only electronics. The only thing I wish the manufacturer would change in future units is to make the tool base a bit heavier and maybe larger to minimize toppling over if it gets hit by something while using it. All in all, this is a true high quality multi-function tool in every respect. I recommend it very highly.

If your like me and wanted something for soldering electrical and hell even soldering small copper to like install a new refrigerator pump like I did it works slick

Can't light it with one hand so You need to just have things ready before lighting. I found it inconvienent. Hard to fill, gas spraying out all over. Maybe it was the canisters Of gas I bought but why not include the right filler size. Couldn't keep it lit outside. There was a bit of a breeze but not windy and went out when tipped down.

Making a weather vane. Easy to use and good value for money

Works great. Takes about 20 seconds to heat up to solder the wires. I recommend.

I like the size and accessories that come with the item for the price. Power is a little questionable, I would try and use inside a closed area and the flame would go out. I would take it out in an open area and it's fine.

This thing is super annoying. I think I got a dud. It constantly goes out on me. I use it for soldering silver jewelry, and when I get the piece to critical temperature the last thing I need it to do is go out. Useless to me.

Lifespan under normal use and abuse is what i want to find out next. Apart from that, this may be one of the best of its kind.

Used it to heat shrink solder headlight wires on my truck worked great. Also use it for hot melting glue on my inserts for my arrows.. works great for that also

It's just a little to safe for me. Retired from a fabrication, machine shop after 42 years. I don't care for having to move a switch to one and press the striker at the same time. Other than that the one time I've used it it worked just as expected.

à The first time I received this 1/4 inch torque wrench it didn't work. It wasn't holding the torque. I returned it and got a second one - the same issue. The weird thing is that it says the product is inspected and certified for accuracy. They must've overlooked the two I ordered.

Great kit, has lots of accessories to make it a versatile tool.

Bought this product for soldering, but it is so easy to use and versatile. Can be used in the kitchen for Creme Brulee, heat shrinking, soldering, and who knows what else. High quality product and worth the price IMHO.

The attachments and the case work well, I installed an amp in my car and it performed well. no problematic cords or wired soldering iron. The childproof mechanism is annoying but I understand it is necessary. Used premium fuel as directed. I never got my Weller soldering iron working many years ago a combination of cold weather and insufficient heat forced me to run an extension cord. This unit worked like a charm and I loved the heat-shrink attachment.

It looks real nice. Comes with lots of cool attachments for lots of uses. It doesn't come with it's own fuel.

I used this product to heat up a pesky bolt that had corroded to my cars caliper, it did a good job of doing it. Now to make a creme brulee =]

I have to try lighting it many many times before it will light with a soldering tip installed. If I take the tip off it will light every time. I bought better gas, a new tip and adapter but not any better. It works but it is a pain. Maybe I just got a lemon.

This is an excellent kit especially for the price. I was able to do a plumbing job with this mini-torch instead of using a big MAPP torch. I love the fact that there are all the soldering adapters with it.

Gets a 4 only because it never lights on the first click, after it's been sitting. The company states that 3x filtered butane is required for it to work correctly.

TBH, I only have two issues with this torch. 1 - I use triple refined made in the USA fuel for this and it still Is very hit and miss when lighting. I have a 10 year old Berzomatic mini torch that lights EVERY TIME I press it. Uses the same triple fuel too. You would think they would make these easier to ignite since it seems to have been perfected years ago but they did not. Annoyed. Also this is a great kit well for $30. It really shouldn't be more that that. I was thinking of getting an extra one but the sale ended and still kinda salty about its performance compared to similar quality product that I can just pick up at the local store. For $30, get it. Over that amount, it's not ready for prime time.

This is a nice set. Has everything I need to do what I need to do with it. The carrying case is a plus in very neatly put it away until need it again.

Delivered on time and works as advertised.

I am really happy with the build and function of this torch. The attachments are handy and functional. It uses an aluminum tank and seems to built fairly solid, a little more durable for diy and garage projects. Overall I think this torch kit is not only handy, but a good value as well.

Soldering wires on my granddaughters car 1990 mustang

Striker failed after a couple months, ended up breaking off. About to send it off for replacement but other than that and the safety its a strong torch as long as you use the correct butane (i use 11x refined) the soldering tips need to be screwed out just a tiny bit if theres no fire coming in, or you just need to turn the butane level down so the spark can catch. Overall a good buy so long as you have patience when things happen unexpectedly, no product is exempt from flaw and ive only ever found two with one being just an inconvenience. Customer service is great, down to earth company

real eaasy to use

Sometimes tough to ignite. Fine for someone who needs it for marine shrinking electrical connections

The safety feature makes it a bit challenging when trying to light it up. Other than that, this torch is very well made and should be in every handyman's toolbox.

This product worked great until I needed to change the tip for a different function. Unfortunately it wouldn't come loose and spun the whole tip ripping the ignitor out. From my experiences it worked perfect as a torch but no need for all the other fitting if you can't use them.

It comes in a nice case with a lot of different tips for soldering and working with plastics, etc. Works well and have no issues.

This is a very nice kit . The owner needs to make sure that premium refined butane is used. 7x or higher.

i bought 2 different types of these at the same time and love them. literally got 4 more people to buy these the very same day mine came in and i showed them. so far the pen style is my favorite from their 2 models. it's easier to use for the most part and i hasn't had an issue yet. how ever the standing model keeps leaking out out and sadly my return window closed but again my other one still works great and i will gladly buy a new one again when it's time. if i can get a year or 2 out of these i'm happy and the price is worth is. oh and safety feature slightly sucks in the stand up model. the pen is lots easier and better to use

I love that it comes with multiple attachments, that can be used on a ton of projects. Each attachment does a different thing and some of them have multiple uses. It comes in a very handy carrying case, so no lost pieces.

I have used this several times since I purchased it anI could not be happier with it. Works great for soldering and shrink tube.

Easy to use

I was skeptical at first because I saw a review saying you had to use highly refined butane or it wouldn't work and then I found another review saying it worked with ronson butane all I have is zippo butane so I ordered, filled it up waited 5 minutes I got a couple clicks in but it worked an has worked for me since.I gave it 5 stars based on the price point for being my first torch I didn't find it hard to use and I thought the controls were straightforward all the attachments are a definite bonus although it is recommended in the manual to use at least triple refined butane

The soldering tool itself is really very good, but as some reviewers have pointed out before, the soldering tips are not durable. After only a few solderings, the tip dissolves. So I can only use this soldering kit for crème brûlée. Too bad. That's why only 1 star.Update:I would like to take my negative rating back from one star:I had the problem with the non-permanent soldering tips myself because I had set the temperature too high.Leave the gas flow control in the low range , so the soldering tips also last a lot longer. I'm very satisfied now!

Nice compact case easy to use but the instructions are not very good. Says not to over fill it with fuel but no where does it say how much to put in it or how to do it.I've used it 3 times works great but the case it came in has fallen apart. So know I well have to figure out what to store it in.

Ignites quickly great little torch for soldering

Good assortment of tips for various jobs and sturdy case with inlays.Only complaint is that the Zippo fuel in the 'frequently bought together' recommendation doesn't come with any adapters and won't fill this item.

works great for heat shrink tubing.some of the attachments came looking used.I don't know why but it came with butane in the torch tho.

Wonderful product excellent packaging can't believe I survived without it

After about a month of light use the torch has began to malfunction. The gas shut off no longer works and at times will go from a torch flame to sputtering gas balls of flame randomly. I would return if I could and go back to BenzOMatic

I like the fact that it heats very quickly, its easy to refill and you can take it anywhere. I mostly use it for soldering jobs and find it just great. Well worth the price and I would recommend it for those hard to get to places with an electric iron.

Looking at other reviews, I guess it's down to luck if you get a good one or not. I filled with isobutane from my camping stove and it lights first time every time. It's VERY hot.I was initially using it just as a torch but I had a piece of oak with a dent in it and couldn't be bothered getting the iron from the house. So I put the deflector tip on the torch, put some water on the dent, covered with a damp cloth and used the back of the (now very hot) deflector tip and was able to apply heat with great precision to the area needed, and removed the dent! So pleased to get extra functionality with this.Addressing other comments in negative reviews, I agree that the use of light components (plastic and aluminium) is a bit of a let down; make it from stainless steel (including safety switch and lock) and I would happily pay twice as much.

Excellent case and stand!! Works perfectly for soldering. Igniter safety is a little tricky to get used to, but after a few uses, it works with a flick of my thumb. Trigger lock ON is also intuitive and works well. Just did some solder repairs on a 90 year old saxophone and everything went perfectly.

Well made. Works well, adjusts for flame size easily. One quirk: refilling the tank sets the flame size to high, automatically, but it starts easier if you set it lower. So just remember to reset the flame size after refilling. Also wait a couple minutes after refilling, before restarting.

The first torch I received did not function properly so I reached out to Lexivon customer Service. They wrote me back within 24hrs with questions and possible solutions. When they corrections they suggested did not work, they immediately sent out a replace unit with a return shipping label for the original unit. The replacement unit works perfectly. Although I have not had a chance to use the torch yet, I am sure it will preform as advertised. I would highly recommend the product and the company to anyone. A company is only as good as the customer service they provide for the product they offer. Lexivon Customer Service is top notch.

This product works well once it's lit... I used 9x refined butane but still have a hard time getting it to light up, sometime I have to click it over 10x before it lights up... It would get a 5 star rating otherwise...

Does what it says on the tin. Good value all round product.

Easy to use. I was looking for something between a soldering iron and a propane touch that would be good for small pieces of metal and large wire. Was able to solder small pieces of metal using the torch and soldering tip for wires. I found no difficulty using the safety features.

So, I paid the same for this that I had paid in the auto parts store. This is so much better. I haven't done anything but fill and light a few times, but wow compared to all the plastic p.o.s.'s I have bought before. Solid construction. Great flame. Lights great and consistent. The case and accessories all seem to be nice. The metal construction is the way to go if you ask me.

After 4 years it no longer lights at all. I read that some people say it is top heavy, which is right only if you lose the stand it came with.

Had this little broken steam engine for years, when I first tried to repair it using a soldering iron and my big blowtorch it was a complete fail, so its been sat on the shelf ever since, that is until I saw this little torch, so I ordered it with the engine in mind and it's been a complete success, the flame is so small you can aim it accurately at whatever point you need the head, i soldered the engine using the bare flame and it worked great, not tried any of the accessories yet but I'm very pleased with my purchase,I was also able to use the torch to heat the boiler and test the engine

This little torch kit. It works well and has a bunch of different uses.

Product worked perfectly however I then added the wrong butane by mistake. I spoke to the customer services team and they explained what I'd done wrong. They then replaced the unit free of charge along with a guide as to what fuels to use. Couldn't recommend the product or the company highly enough

I have used it to solder and to shrink tubing, and it worked well. The only drawback is the safety which is a legal requirement so they had no choice but to include it.
