Cuts the guess work out of miters, worked great on the outer corners in my house while laying baseboard. I first tried the 46 degree and 44 degree inner method but honestly it doesn't always work that well. Save the guess work and wasted material and just by this thing and get it right every time. Worth the money and tool is a solid piece comes with a leather sleeve as well

The one I received is accurate on degrees when matched/checked to known accuracy of other measuring devices. Works well to transfer your angles to various saws. Reading the degree scales is a little tough due to the approximate 3 inch marked circle and each mark is a 2 degree difference. Used a pair of reading glasses to magnify the marks. Otherwise, a handy little tool.

Love this tool didn't know why I didn't get one sooner. I'm currently replacing baseboards throughout the house and found multiple odd corners where I constantly have to measure and do multiple cuts in order to get it lined up correctly. This tool eliminate the guess work by giving an accurate measurement the 1st time around allowing me quickly measure and cut, saving me time to do other things.

Bought this becuase I have an older house with some wonky walls. Surprisingly, my corners were only off by a degree at most. So I set my miter saw based on the values of this tool and still did not end up with perfect little corners.If this was anymore expensive, I'd be sending it back.

I usually use a angle finder and if obtuse I do the math in my head, it nothing complicated. I got this just bc. Now with that said this is by far the most less (yea I know)expensive thing I have bought on here that was built like a high quality precision tool. From the box, to the nice storage pouch and of course the tool. If they had a ruler on the bottom, they would of sent it out this world.

This miter saw protractor was very well constructed of good quality solid aluminum. Looks like it could be used and abused and hold up. Markings are easy to read and understand what you are looking at. Only thing I wish it had was a lock to hold the angle, but movement is currently stiff enough to hold to read. May loosen over time but there is a tightening screw on the back to adjust. More than worth the $15 I paid for it. I would recommend purchasing.

I currently have Starrett's angle finder and bought this one to modify for short outside corners. This appears to be a well made tool but the 2à ° graduations make it unsuited for my work. As a wood worker, many of my wood/carpentry projects include stained wood where I don't get the benefit of wood filler and paint to correct for irregular miter cuts due to wall inconsistencies. Miters have to be exact. 1/2à ° makes a difference. Starrett uses single degree graduations and I can split the difference with decent accuracy. 2à ° not so much. The Lexivon will probably work for most people but will create challenges for those requiring precision angles.

This is an excellent well built and sturdy tool. It is just the thing for anyone wishing to duplicate odd angles that are often found in poorly constructed areas. It is the best tool of this type that I have used. It both captures and holds the angle well.

Purchased to have a sturdier non plastic version angle finder to go along with my starrett that I already have and use regularly. Good build and great to have dark background with light lettering. Needed a little lubes to allow easier movement, but not a big deal. I used some lithium grease and it is near perfect now.

First time installing base shoe molding. I know I can just cut miters without measuring and then fill the gaps with caulk, but I wanted the joints to be tight since it's in my house and I have to look at it forever. I saw some reviews that said the protractor wasn't accurate, but mine was dead on. Very affordable alternative to the major brand name, and still metal! Didn't want to go with a plastic one.The gauge is easy to use and easy to read, it makes short work of finding angles. I should have purchased it sooner, but glad I have it now. Only one project down and it's already earned its keep.

Nice quality piece of kit. I like that it's aluminium but a little unsure on how long the coating will last. If you keep it in the box it came in or make something for it, it should be fine. I ordered the Starrett one too so I'll have a backup just in case.

A great little handy product. Very well made and a joy to use. The arm movements are easy but tight. Great thaqt the markings are white on black - easy on the eye to read stuff off. Slips easily in to your pocket/apron. Very well machined. It will probably last forever.
